My Favorite Things

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,
brown paper packages tied up with strings,
these are a few of my favorite things.

Forest paths with swatches of light

The dresses I wore as a little girl

Crisp, clean sheets

A good book that you can't put down
Lying in the sunshine
Unexpected mail
Wearing a daisy tucked behind one ear
A mug full of steaming tea
Tons of temporary tattoos at once
Frolicking in bare feet
Rolling down hills
The laziness of Sunday mornings
